The article is missing a very important detail - the companies by and large are forbidden to even press criminal charges. The most that tends to happen is if the thieves are ever identified they get criminal trespassed from the property. That's pretty well it. And I'm deep in the heart of "red" Texas, not some Marxist craphole. Every time I go to a store, any store, the place is getting robbed one way or another. Either out the door or at the checkout. Every. Single. Time. Which brings up a question about elections to come - with a constituency such as this, how long does orderly society exist until it gets voted down and out. My system for stopping all the “free” stuff is to catch as many teens of color, save them in a few camps and then start shipping them back to Africa. If they are citizens they would have to stay for a year. The invaders could stay there. Young people need some serious change of attitude.
