We’re going to need about 200 nuclear power plants for starters.

Imagine having to set up an appointment to charge your car and that appointment is 2 weeks away. You are immobile.

Imagine having an emergency and your car doesn’t have enough of a charge to get to a hospital or to get to your child.

Imagine being at the mercy of a corrupt government who forecasts blackouts and has NO indication of strengthening the grid and is doing everything they can to limit energy resources.

Thank a democrat.

They have proven to be so unreliable. That is terrifying in a seconds count scenario.

The switch to ev’s is just another way to control the lower class by the ruling class. Like everything, follow the money.

Looking at the picture, it appears the heater still works, even if the car isn’t operating...

EVs suck and so does anyone who drives them and pushes them. They are anything but environmentally friendly as the article states and that’s the big thing that needs to be pushed.

Why it isn’t on a daily basis baffles me.

Add to that the additional electricity from having to replace your natural gas furnace and water heater with electric heat pump versions, and your gas stove and clothes dryer with electric models.

The norm today new construction single family homes is 200 amp service. With all of these mandates, you will now need a 400 amp main service panel, and the infrastructure in your neighborhood to support all of the homes going from 150-200 amp service to 400-500 amp service.

And there are no spare wheels in an EV (in the interest of driving range) so good luck waiting for a tow truck to get the tire repaired in the event of a puncture.

Poor people who live in the boonies will never be able to afford a $60,000 or so ew electric vehicle, and often the boonies are out of power for days on end when storms tear down electric wires. The gov would be guilty of murder if they force everyone to give up their gasoline vehicles, and make gasoline far too expensive sive for the poor to buy.

This nation has gone freaking Insane!

When the average person hears “fossil fuels,” they think of a dirty technology that belongs in the 1800s. Many believe they are burning dead dinosaurs to power their cars.

They also think “fossil fuels” will destroy the planet within a decade and run out soon—despite the fact that, after water, oil is the second most abundant liquid on this planet.

Just to show how little the enviro-Nazi think about their ideas; if it is true that coal and oil are fossil fuels all of that carbon that now exist as coal and gas was once living matter was once Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere.

That would necessitate that long before humans existed on Earth Carbon Dioxide levels in the atmosphere were hugely greater than today. Those higher CO2 levels permitted a far more lush climate than exist in the modern world.

Low CO2 levels in the atmosphere is limiting the abundance of life on Earth not human technology.

[[They are anything but environmentally friendly]]

Exactly! Sadly the feckless gop in co gress won’t raise a stink and refute the “invironmentslly friendly” lies by the left. They didn’t refute the lies of “man-caused climate chsnge” either, and now the left have been able to foist their massive lies on the world as a result.

“Imagine having an emergency and your car doesn’t have enough of a charge to get to a hospital or to get to your child.”

That’s when the government steps in but their preferred image is out of line with their actual process capabilities.

"EVs are spying machines. They collect an unimaginable amount of data on you, which governments can access easily. Analysts estimate that cars generate about 25 gigabytes of data every hour.

Seeing how governments could integrate EVs into a larger high-tech control grid doesn’t take much imagination. The potential for busybodies—or worse—to abuse such a system is obvious."

This right here.
Plus, it limits your ability to travel.

So when you're not locked in your 15 minute city, you're being spied on.
