Precisely. Most people do not want EV’s and it’s not even close. The problem is the car makers are well into the transition. They operate on 5 year plans and have eliminated most of the ICE engineering staff. They have been promised Billions in loans not to reverse course. The rat states are going to ban ICE cars and the car makers will not make cars they can only sell in half of the states. So we may have no choice. If the rats win again it’s over.
Not to mention, there will be a financial cutoff at some point where some classes of people will NOT be able to afford to purchase or operate an EV. These people will be forced to rely on public transportation or potential ride-sharing. They may be forced to walk, ride bicycles, mopeds or scooters. In some cities, this will mean gravitating from the suburbs to city, for living and working.
It's all about the control.
