Not sure when allegations – without any criminal charges – became the standard for punishing people.
I guess that change took place sometime in mid-2020.
Maybe we’re just noticing it now.
It’s strange, because now anyone who doesn’t like someone can destroy their life by accusing him of something.
It’s surprising YouTube didn’t just ban him outright.
They’ve been waiting to do that.
The Guardian:
YouTube has suspended Russell Brand’s ability to earn money on the platform following allegations of rape and sexual assault in a massive hit to his finances.
The video-sharing and social media site said it had suspended Brand’s channel from the YouTube partner programme after serious allegations against him, meaning his videos are no longer able to be monetised on the platform.
The 48-year-old comedian and actor has been accused of rape, assault and emotional abuse between 2006 and 2013, when he was at the height of his fame working for the BBC, Channel 4 and starring in Hollywood films. He denies the allegations, saying all his relationships were consensual.
The Met police said on Monday they had received an allegation of sexual assault in Soho, central London, in 2003. The force added that as yet no investigation had been launched.
Whatever is going on with the Russel Brand story, one thing is certain: the entire thing is run by the mainstream media machine that is 100% in bed with the state.
It is therefore safe to assume that there is an agenda being pushed here and that any solutions offered will, again, be 100% under the purview of the state/media imperium.
If any of them actually cared about the abuse of women and girls, then they have tens of thousands of cases to choose from, all, no doubt, far worse and more sordid than anything from the seedy world of showbiz.
But now they have a White male to plaster across the front pages for the foreseeable future, while new regulations and laws are rushed in and imposed on all of us, as though we are all guilty of the putative crimes.
The entire thing is top-down and made-to-measure for the regime’s narratives and agendas.
go to rumble

YouTube and Farcebook are far left websites. Leftists can get away with murder but Conservatives are targeted. I got 30 days in Farcebook for comparing Bidiot to a moldy kitchen sponges. But if you bash President Trump, you get a pass. They don’t even hide their far left agendas any more.
time to demonetize youtube. don’t give money to the enemies of América.
best analysis of Brand saga to date. good he checks age of consent in UK is 16. pity USFakeNewsMSM never mention that!
second half on Yoel Roth is worth watching too:
19 Sept: Rumble: 1hr36m: Glenn Greenwald: New Russell Brand Accusations Deserve Scrutiny & Due Process; Yoel Roth Wails Over Censorship-Regime Backlash; & 4 Republicans Demand Insane Ukraine Escalation | SYSTEM UPDATE #149

I guess Tim Ballard and Russell Brand have something in common...and it isn’t sex abuse allegations.
Great summary from janetjanet998 from a thread this AM (with minor mechanics edits):

Duh. Been posted already
In the time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
He’s being Howard Bealed.
If he would have just stopped telling the truth, he’d be fine. Now the lawfare guns are aimed at him.
He is on rumble and has been for a while.
Allegations only get men punished.
Women don’t get punished for allegations.
He’ll probably go to X/Twitter. Maybe some others too. X may cut him a side deal but I am pretty sure they are offering everyone content creator 100% of their advertising revenues for a full year. He does have to cut 30% for Apple in some cases, but not keeping any for him. Musk’s long term vision to attract more talent and compete with other long-form platforms. Video, audio, long form text is all on the table now.
I am sure Musk is working up other deals for high profile content providers. Don’t know if paying Brand upfront right now is the best PR move but at the least offering him 100% of his advertising earnings may be appealing.
Content creators need to have a marketing budget to move more of there followers to rumble or another platform. Relying so heavily on one source of revenue is a horrible business model. You’re just a youtube employee without all of the benefits. If you have 6m viewers on YouTube abmbd 1m on Rumble you’re not working hard enough to diversify the audience across both platforms. Also, Rumble needs to work much harder on diversifying content. Can’t find many “how to” videos or do it yourself videos on Rumble or anywhere else aside from YouTube. Does the leadership even understand the problem?
YouTube is an enemy of the Republic and you.
I would say a multi-billion dollar lawsuit is in order by RB against everyone involved in promoting these slanderous allegations without any evidence. I would say that he has by far more evidence than they do.
You can call these C___ts up till 8 pm and let them know you will avoid all there services...it aint worth the convenience
bingo!
this censorship
pure and simple
They’ve done a lot worse to a great many more people.
When I made my YouTube account, before Obama, I chose not to allow ads. Whatever I did there, I saw no reason for some darn thing to pop up in the middle of the video.
I believed in the free exchange of ideas and ads would violate that idea.
I did and do not have any desire for any sort of profit from my works. It also means that YouTube, in that day, will have to find some other punitive thing, if necessary.
