Maybe we will see more Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 losses occurring...

My guess these could only be successfully engaged by Patriots.

IMHO, the next Patriot battery should be forward deployed.

SU-30

SU-34

SU-35

“the next Patriot battery should be forward deployed.”

Two more committed from Germany. Crews in training now.

IMHO, the next Patriot battery should be forward deployed.

A NYT piece a few days ago revealed that the US has built a "FrankenSAM" system based on Ukrainian/Russian Radars (probably from S-300 systems that are now out of missiles) with Patriot launchers. While the US only has about 50 active Patriot batteries, we likely have a large number of older/inactive M901/902 launchers that could be put into service with no loss of US capabilities.

We already knew about the BUK-Sea Sparrow FrankenSAM system, but we now know of FrankenSAM systems for Patriot, HAWK and Sidewinder as well. These systems are more "expendable" than the high value Patriot, NASAMS, IRIS-T SLM, and SAMP/T batteries, and might be more likely to be pushed to the front.
