Election Day got off to a rough start in several districts in Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
Lehigh Valley News has reported several voting machines in multiple districts across Northampton County are down due to “votes getting flipped and not recording properly.”
Voting machines went down in Palmer Township, Bethany Wesleyan Church in Lehigh Township, College Hill Presbyterian Church in Easton, and at the Allen Township Fire Hall.
The voting machines only flipped votes in the retention race between Judge Jack Panella and Judge Victor Stabile for the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
In a press release, the Northampton County Elections Office stated: “It appears that when a voter selects a “Yes” or a “No” for one of the candidates for retention to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the selection is recorded on the paper ballot and on the machine for the other candidate.”
The statement continued, “The issue is limited to the retention of Superior Court Judges and is only an issue when recording the votes for when a voter selected a “Yes” for one candidate and a “No” for another candidate.”

Right, fix the judicial elections so only the right judges will hear cases about elections.
Also, per the courts, no republican has any standing to question or complain about this garbage. Not even the candidate who was running has any standing.
1. Moochelle, Kamala, HilLIARy, PeLOUSY, Barbara Lee, Mad Maxine Waters, Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, and many more ..... SorozNazi has so many anti-American sock puppets to choose from...Newsom (Pelousy’s nephew), ......it is like a demonic plague
Jay, I voted today at the Bethany Wesleyan Church in Lehigh Township. ALL the machines there were touch screens. These machines were not reserved for those with disabilities, they are used for EVERY voter.
After selecting the choices (with a finger), it will take the voter to a final screen where they submit the results. At this point a paper receipt appears on the right side of the machine where the voter can inspect the results. If everything matches correctly they would finally click the “send Ballot” button.
Well then your county is in violation of the state law.
“ As of the June 2, 2020, primary election, all 67 of the Pennsylvania’s counties have deployed voting systems that produce voter-verifiable paper records and meet 21st-century standards of security, auditability and accessibility.”

“...systems that produce voter-verifiable paper records...”
The machine I used to vote today did indeed produce a paper hardcopy. It was a receipt paper rolled out of a an opening (sort of like the receipt that comes out of an ATM machine).
I could not actually pull out the receipt and inspect it with my hands, the receipt is behind a glass covering. So the voter can see the results of all their vote selections before they finally cast the ballot by pressing a green button on the touch screen.
It’s the first time in years that I have seen a paper ballot. As you said, previously the voter just had to accept that the machine recorded the vote correctly. So this new way of voting is much more valid.
Also, for the first time ever, they asked me for my street address and also my birth year. This had never happened before and it caught me by surprise. When I voted, there was only one other person in line.

I live in Northampton County. My precinct uses ONLY touch screens, which produces a paper receipt that cannot be pulled out of the machine.
OK, so ES&S provide the “scanners..” ES&S is wholly owned by the McCarthy Group. Who the heck are they?
Definitely!
Re “Only an issue”.
Well then, Pearl Harbor was only “an issue”, just on a larger scale.
The same for 9/11.
Voting integrity is never “only an issue” for a minor or major election. It is part of the heart of American democracy.
As one who had had both a regular heart attack and died for a few minutes from Cardiac Arrest, I found out that the first one was NOT “only an issue” in the context of something small. The next once was an important “issue” to me and my family though it was “largely a painless one.
Pennsylvania politics is still as corrupt and incompetent today as it was when I lived in Philly in the 1960s. “Only an issue” for these voting counties, my ass.
Change my mind
