I trained my local stores about this. The first time they hit me up I forced them to let me take up their time and the manager’s time by unloading everything out of my cart in a line on the floor and checking off every single item.
“Nope, we are going to do this right, you think I am a thief so we are going to make sure every single item is accounted for on the receipt.”
They now know me well, warn other employees about me, and look the other way as I go out the door. I haven’t been stopped once since.
