Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky. One of the best.

Or as a friend of mine once suggested, find a local family that maybe you know or know of, and help them directly.

These are great suggestions. Thanks.

I was kind of hoping to hear some of the bad ones too. I saw the Salvation Army at our local store and wondered about their status. A few years ago there was something sketchy about them. It may not be the case now.

Looks like Target is probably up to it’s usually virtue signaling from it’s behavior earlier this year.

We use to have a means of signing up at work to have a portion donated each paycheck that we could renew each year or not. It was a well know organization one whose name I forget. Your contributions went to several local charities and they let you decide the proportions yourself.

They don’t do it now, but we’ve gone thru several owners over the years.

Perhaps one of the local churches works through SGA (Slavic Gospel Assoc.) They are reliable.
