Making sure every foster child in Georgia has at least one gift on Christmas day

Not sure if they do anything special for Christmas but I am going to start giving small amounts, what I can afford, to Samaritan’s Purse.
Based in Boone NC it was started by Billy Graham. They were going to set up a MASH style hospital in NYC in the early days of the covid scamdemic but were run out of town by Deblasio as being the wrong kind of people. Any organization that elicits such a deranged reaction from “progressives” has to be our kind of people.

This isn’t specifically for Christmas, but I support the Tokata Youth Center, a facility that provides services to disadvantaged youth on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation, one of the highest at-risk locations for youth in the US. As a Board member and treasurer, I can assure you that nearly every penny donated goes toward services for the youth, including daily meals, life skills, reinforcing Biblical moral principles, daily exercise, after-school help, etc. I do know that Diamond Willow Ministries, their parent, does do an annual gift-giving Christmas celebration for the community.
Right now, every dollar donated is being matched 50% by a foundation in Texas. If you have further questions, please feel free to respond to me or simply call them up.

you could always ask the church pastor if he knows of young struggling families in your church- he may be able to let you give them help anonymously.
Nice post... so many ‘charities’ are liberal/progressive rip-offs. Nice to see there are still come worth contributing to...
Visit your local Nursing Homes - there are a growing number of Senior Citizens in Nursing Homes without any family support - Our County Senior Center is asking for Robes, Slippers, T-Shirts - Socks for the Seniors who have nothing. This is where we will be giving this year.

Bypass the skimmers. Just go out and help someone.
“Bibles for China” is an Oklahoma-based charity that distributes Bibles and training to people who are eager to receive them. These are people who would treasure owning one page from a Bible.
If you want to give the gift of salvation, this is the best bang for the buck. They also communicate minimally and by email, so they are not wasting money on sending out calendars, promotions, etc.
The last I heard, it was $4 for a Bible to be printed and delivered into rural China. That $4 might bring many people to salvation.
i agree with the recommendation to check charity navigator
While not a charity by any means, keep FR in mind.
Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky. One of the best.
Or as a friend of mine once suggested, find a local family that maybe you know or know of, and help them directly.

These are great suggestions. Thanks.
I was kind of hoping to hear some of the bad ones too. I saw the Salvation Army at our local store and wondered about their status. A few years ago there was something sketchy about them. It may not be the case now.
Looks like Target is probably up to it’s usually virtue signaling from it’s behavior earlier this year.
We use to have a means of signing up at work to have a portion donated each paycheck that we could renew each year or not. It was a well know organization one whose name I forget. Your contributions went to several local charities and they let you decide the proportions yourself.
They don’t do it now, but we’ve gone thru several owners over the years.
