Your family should check out these books.
The Brain that Changes Itself and The Brain’s Way of Healing, both by Norman Doidge. We initially checked them out of the library but liked them so much we ended up buying them.
The field of neuroplasticity is just beginning to get the recognition it deserves. Children are especially responsive to such treatment or therapy as their brains are still developing.
