The article does not mention that Telsa has been lowering the price of their vehicles to increase sales, address any wreaking demand and drive competition out of the EV market. This is a large part of the decease in value. Of course Hertz also exposed a major issue, the extreme accident repair costs for EVs.
For those living in their own homes with a battery charger and the use of an EV as a second or third car may work. But that’s a select market.

Absolutely correct. And I am one of that select market. My Ford Mach e is a great commuter car and I prefer it to my other vehicles (all of which are high mileage and paid off).
Take it on a long trip? No thanks.
