It seems like the same thing is happening again on purpose. Correct. The GOP has no desire or intention to actually be in a position where it its members might be expected to lead and carry through on their campaign promises.
There is, in fact, no reason for the GOP to exist anymore. A golden opportunity was missed in not creating an official MAGA party in December of 2020.

Yes but these late retirement announcements as of late doesn’t help conservative replacements to strategize and raise money for campaign purposes. Meanwhile Soros can find a democrat challenger and throw unlimited millions to help them get elected.
