As much as people hate me, I really should stop trying, but here goe again.

I have lived in Ukraine, Zhitomyr to be exact, and I have some fluency in the Russian language.

Both groups eat exactly the same foods, prepared the same way. They both have exactly the same sense of humour. They both worship in exactly the same way, they have the same taste in clothing and sexual peccadillos. They drink exacxtly the same kind of rotgut no one in America would even bring to their lips. They are a common people separated by some truly horrible history under Stalin and the USSR. With an added wierd language shift done during the Tartar invasion and Khanate.

The war started becuase an incredibly corrupt government took control, and started bombing Russian areas in the Donbas. Putin told them to stop for many years, but they didn't. Biden cut off our oil production, giving Putin a huge cash infusion, and he felt he had the means to stop the bombing. His error was to trust the generals in his army who were just as corrupt as the Ukrainian government. These generals had not been training or supplying their soldiers as they had been telling the Kremlin, they had been kiting the money.
