Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

‘send every plane that will fly’

“SCOOP: The Biden administration is preparing a larger-than-normal package of military aid for Ukraine that will include armored vehicles, in addition to urgently needed artillery and air defenses, according to two U.S. officials.

DOD expects to move the package quickly as soon as Biden signs an expected bill providing $60B in new aid to Ukraine.”

“One source said additional Bradley Fighting Vehicles would be part of the shipment. Older Humvees and M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as missiles, could also be included, said another.”

We are in store for some fireworks.

Kyiv Independent reports (22 Apr):

“Ukraine “finalized” the agreement on long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles with the U.S., President Volodymyr Zelensky said after a call with his American counterpart Joe Biden on April 22...

...The (Ukraine Aid) bill also requires the Biden administration to deliver long-range ATACMS missiles when practicable “after the date of enactment of this Act.”

The U.S. first delivered ATACMS missiles to Ukraine in October 2023, following months of deliberation. The package included only the older models with a range of 165 kilometers. Newer variants of ATACMS have a maximum range of around 300 kilometers and have so far not been provided to Ukraine.

In late February, NBC News reported that the White House is ready to provide Kyiv with longer-range ATACMS missile variants if Congress approves a new funding package...

...U.S. Senator Mark Warner said on April 21 that shipments that include long-range missile systems could be ready to be delivered within days.”

Wrath of God.

OilPrice.com reports:

“Russia’s natural gas giant Gazprom had to shut down more than two dozen producing wells during the spring floods in the Orenburg region to keep the gas-producing wells from flooding, the local Gazprom unit said.

River and floodwaters rose early this month in the Orenburg region in southwestern Russia near the Ural River in the worst flooding in the area in 80 years. Water levels in the Ural jumped well above the river’s bursting point.

To avoid flooding of operating wells, Gazprom’s local unit, Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg, shut down over a dozen of these, the company said in an in-house publication cited by Reuters on Monday...

...The strong spring floods have also shut down one refinery near Orenburg in Russia as they compromised a dam in the area forcing the evacuation of thousands of people.

Russian media reported earlier this month that the dam breach had sunk the old part of the city of Orsk and the level of water in the Ural River is gradually rising, threatening Orenburg, the administrative headquarters of the Orenburg region in southwestern Russia, near the border with Kazakhstan.

Authorities have reported floods all along the length of the Ural, which flows across southwestern Russia and Kazakhstan and drains into the Caspian Sea.”

Too bad they can’t get Taurus missiles from Germany which have >1000 lb warheads - perfect for bridges.

I saw one analyst, who posited that Germany wanted to hang on to its Taurus cruise missiles, as insurance against a Trump Administration potentially backing out of NATO.

Unlike France or the UK, Germany lacks its own nuclear deterrent, goes the argument.

HIMARS is coming!

All over again.

It will make an impact, just like it did the first time - but this time with ATACMS as well.

Kremlin snuff box, 04/20/24
https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/3970

The United States provides military assistance to the Kyiv regime. What will happen at the front now and who will Putin punish for this?

Unfortunately, as we warned, the Americans approved the allocation of military assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, we decided to confiscate our assets ( which we also warned about last year ).

“Now it will be very difficult at the front, I won’t hide it. But we are still stronger. And we have a lot of reserves; for example, we haven’t even carried out a new wave of mobilization yet.

“Plus there are enough volunteers. We will win, just with more blood. But we have something to shed it for,” a source in the Ministry of Defense said in this regard.

At the same time, according to interlocutors in the Kremlin with whom we quickly communicated, after this decision Vladimir Putin will be asked to dismiss Sergei Naryshkin, Elvira Nabiullina, Anton Siluanov and Valery Gerasimov.

They want to punish the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service for the fact that American aid to Kyiv was not thwarted, and the heads of the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance for the loss of our assets abroad.

As for Gerasimov, Sergei Shoigu strongly advises the President to resign. The Minister of Defense has already considered the strengthening of the enemy army at the expense of the Americans a convenient reason to strike at Gerasimov.

And he tells Vladimir Vladimirovich that the current head of the General Staff will not cope with new challenges at the front.

It is worth noting that Putin has not yet made a single personnel decision.

How long will the SVO last now and why did Trump betray us?

We talked with sources in the General Staff and the Kremlin about how Russia is threatened by American aid, which is allocated to the Kiev regime. There are several important points.

Firstly, according to interlocutors close to Valery Gerasimov, the Northern Military District will definitely last at least another 3-4 years, as the Chief of the General Staff predicted. Nothing will end this year, no matter what Sergei Shoigu promises the President.

Secondly, the General Staff is waiting for the start of a new wave of mobilization. It is still difficult to say what it will be - hidden or open.

At the same time, we want to reassure everyone who is afraid of mobilization - at the moment no decisions have been made on this matter. Only the plans we wrote about.

By the way, sources do not rule out the possibility that 10-15,000 military personnel from the army will be partially demobilized in May.

Thirdly, when asked why Donald Trump suddenly showed that he is not our ally (for which there were high hopes ), but supports Ukraine, a source in the Kremlin replied: “They worked with him poorly. We have either diplomats or intelligence officers - we need to disperse everyone.”

Let us note that sources in the SVR refused to comment on these accusations. And the Foreign Ministry reproached the Kremlin for the fact that “the bulk of the wrong and harmful decisions over the past few years were made there.”

Aksenov asked to transfer air defense systems from Moscow and the Moscow region to Crimea. In response they called him an “idiot”

The reason for the request, according to sources in the Crimean government, was the decision of the Americans to provide new military assistance to the Kiev regime.

“The military told Sergei Valerievich that they do not guarantee the protection of strategic facilities. Including the Crimean Bridge.

“Therefore, he asked to transfer additional air defense systems to us. We know for sure that there are too many of them in Moscow and the Moscow region, as if they are preparing for an assault or a nuclear strike.

“This is unfair, we need to protect Crimea from Nazi missiles,” said one of our interlocutors.

According to him, a plan is also currently being developed according to which vacationers this year will be able to get to the peninsula without using the Crimean Bridge.

Aksenov asked the central authorities to guarantee the safe passage of tourists to new regions of Russia, so that the holiday season in Crimea would not be disrupted under any circumstances.

By the way, Sergei Sobyanin, who, as you know, is sensitive to the defense of Moscow, has already responded to Aksenov’s request for air defense. In one of his personal conversations, he called the head of Crimea an “idiot.”

We respect Sergei Semenovich. But this is a situation where we disagree with him. The threat of terrorist attacks on the Crimean Bridge and Crimea as a whole is truly serious.

Is this really not a reason to share air defense systems with such an important region for our country? We know that Sobyanin can really influence this process.

The Blessed Biden/0bama people bring you greetings:

Iran Update, April 22, 2024
https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/iran-update-april-22-2024

Hardline Iranian parliamentarian and member of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Javad Karimi Ghodousi tweeted on April 22 implying that if granted permission, ***Iran could test its first nuclear weapon within one week.***

Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Deputy Chairman Shahriar Heydari stated on April 22 in response to Karimi Ghodousi’s tweet that Iran has no ”intention” to build or use nuclear weapons.

Heydari cited Khamenei’s 2003 fatwa as the reason Iran is not seeking to acquire or use nuclear weapons. Heydari stated that Karimi Ghodousi’s tweet may have been taken out of context.

Some Iranian regime hardliners have similarly begun openly discussing Iran’s ability to procure a nuclear weapon. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Nuclear Security and Protection Corps Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Haghtalab announced on April 18 that Iran will change its “nuclear doctrine and policies” if an Israeli strike targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Haghtalab made these comments prior to the Israeli strike on April 19 that targeted a TOMB STONE radar at an Artesh base in Esfahan, 112 km south of Natanz Nuclear Complex. A former head of Iran’s nuclear agency, Ali Akbar Salehi, implied during a televised interview in February 2024 that Iran could develop a nuclear bomb.

Unspecified officials and experts told the Washington Post on April 10 that Iran is closer to nuclear weapons capability now than at any prior time in Iranian history.

CTP-ISW noted in December 2023 that Iran’s decision to increase its enrichment rate of 60 percent purity uranium was consistent with the long-standing CTP-ISW assessment that Iran has developed a nuclear program that it intends to use to produce a nuclear arsenal.

The Iranian hardliners’ statements contradict Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s 2003 fatwa against the acquisition, development, and use of nuclear weapons.

Its always funny to see the RuZZian Boys posting about some village/town taken by the Red Army.

How does Ukraine win this war?

By killing RuZZians, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. Kill them in eastern Ukraine, in Crimea, in Moscow, in St. Petersburg, in Syria, in Africa.

Keep killing them until they ‘go home’. That is the strategy no matter how many villages RuZZia takes. Even if they take Kharkiv, Odessa, Kyiv, it doesn’t matter in the big picture.

It will likely take 1 million casualties, maybe 5 million or even 10 million RuZZian casualties. But in the end, if NATO supplies Ukraine with yearly arms, they will WIN.

LETS VOTE.

“Greene faces uphill battle to oust Johnson”

“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is escalating her threat to remove Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) from power, but she faces a steep climb if she hopes to achieve that goal.

Not only has the Speaker recently received a glowing review from former President Trump, the GOP’s presumed presidential nominee, but Democrats remain ready to rescue Johnson from a conservative coup. On top of that, many of the conservatives most frustrated with Johnson’s leadership style are opposing a motion to vacate, leaving Greene with only the barest GOP support for her removal resolution. “

🇳🇴 Norwegian company "Kongsberg" is working on the modernization of the NASAMS air defence system to intercept ballistic missiles.

This would require NASAMs to be integrated with Raytheon's new LTAMDS radar. Also, AMRAAM-ER missiles would be used.

They want to punish the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service for the fact that American aid to Kyiv was not thwarted …

Well, certainly not for lack of trying!

Their Russia First crew here at FR sure has been working overtime on this issue using all of their Freeper people assets, lots of low rent Russian propaganda and some of the stupidest memes ever.

No doubt they’re all going to be very unhappy when that long awaited aid starts finding its Russian targets on the battlefields the Russians have made out of Ukrainian cities, villages and farms.

They did it to themselves and have earned their tears. They should have just stayed home and tried being a good neighbor for a real change, instead of being the world’s worst neighbor all over again this century, too.

The turn of the tide.

Kyiv Imdependent reports:

Reuters: US preparing $1 billion military aid package for Ukraine

“The U.S. is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine worth $1 billion, Reuters reported on April 23, citing two unnamed American officials...

...This is the first defense package Ukraine may receive under the yet to be signed aid bill...

Reuters reported, citing its sources, that the new package will include vehicles, Stinger air defense munitions, TOW and Javelin anti-tank munitions, additional ammunition for high-mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS).

The new tranche will also include 155 millimeter artillery shells and “other weapons that can immediately be put to use on the battlefield,” Reuters wrote.

Some of the U.S. military aid for Kyiv is already reportedly in Germany and Poland, cutting down the time needed for the weapons and equipment to reach the front line.”

- “Ukraine’s parliament passed a bill with overwhelming support on the second reading that adapts the country’s education policy to match EU standards, Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said on April 23.”

- “The international criminal court issued warrants for the arrest of Russian president Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, his commissioner for children’s rights, for directly supervising the atrocity of kidnapping Ukrainian children for “adoption” and “re-education” in Russia.” (17 March 2023)
