Another FReeper (I forget who) talked about that awhile back. He was at a dinner party. A couple of very sophisticated and cultured Muslims were also in attendance.

“Of course anyone who slanders the Prophet must die,” said one of them. “Pass the potatoes, please.”

Part of the problem is the cult itself. Part of the problem is that Western society keeps on making excuses for the cult. There is never any push-back.

In a way, it’s like with the Nazis in the early 1930s. Sure, they can be violent at times. But they’ve got good reason for that! The Treaty of Versailles was so unfair. Etc.

And we all know how that turned out.
