Very apt description of a grizzly.
I've watched some grizzly attack videos. Brutal stuff.
What I have heard, though, is that grizzlies cannot climb trees, although other bears can. So the idea is to climb a tree and wait it out if possible.
It makes sense when you stop to consider that the goal of this current government is to eliminate white, conservative voters so they can solidify their grip on power.
Bus them to Sanctuary Cities.

Living just north of border in s BC, we’ve noticed grizzlies are in our local area recently, previously it was all black bears (and lots) in our wilderness surroundings. Those often wander around town in spring and fall. Grizzlies tend to stay out of town (so far) but have been spotted around forested areas nearby. Their natural range is generally further north and east so we figured they were starting to head south, but reading this I wonder if they are now heading north across border zones that are forested.
A few hundred grizzlies roaming around DC would make a huge improvement to our government...

The slug tends to stop them up short, even if it bounces of their thick skulls. I have seen SGs used against nuisance bears but I have not had to shoot one.
Usually when the term “assault” is used to describe a firearm it denotes that it has full auto capability, or someone (usually a gun-graboid) is engaging in inflammatory rhetoric. You don’t usually see it used to describe a shotgun, so I was having a little fun with your description.

Best slug to use in a 12 bore is a Brenneke which ha a sharp square shoulder that will dig into the sloped skull of Ursus horribilis and not slide off like the typical round nose deer slug. Do not use buckshot. It will not penetrate the skull - it will just make the bear mad and nobody needs that!
Alternatively one could carry a .22 LR with which to shoot one’s hunting partner in the leg while preparing to run away fast!
