The morning silence shattered as the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore met its unexpected fate, crumbling into the sea in a breathtaking cascade of steel and concrete. The collision, captured in a chilling livestream, unfolded with surreal intensity as a towering cargo ship collided with one of the bridge's support beams. Smoke billowed from the vessel, mingling with the chaos as emergency responders raced against time to rescue 20 people plunged into the icy waters below.
In the digital realm, the shocking footage spread like wildfire, triggering a wave of disbelief and concern across social media platforms. The Maryland Transportation Authority's urgent alert echoed through cyberspace, warning commuters to steer clear of the disaster-stricken area. Meanwhile, on the ground, Governor Wes Moore's declaration of a state of emergency underscored the gravity of the situation, mobilizing resources for a swift and coordinated response.

Amusing, but it actually wouldn't surprise me if they pulled out some 'policy change' made during Trump's time in office that 'contributed' somehow. This is their way.
Not in the DC area, that’s for sure. Their roads are insane.
This wasn’t an “accident”. It has to have been either an act of terrorism or of war! That ship maneuvered directly into the most vulnerable point in the entire structure.
Happy Ramadan, Everyone!
In the city they do nothing.
Once structural integrity is lost, the whole thing comes piling down.
Indeed. The port is CLOSED until further notice.
Or close the port and disrupt traffic around Baltimore and I95 corridor on East coast
Shouldn’t the pilot have been in command?
Your first video link looks pretty damning. The ship drifts just past the bridge then backs up, creating a wave, and bashes into the bridge.
The state of 495 from the Veteran's Bridge through Tyson's Corner belies that assertion.
That is very suspicious.
The turn hard to the right just after the ship passes the poorly placed protection cells looks very suspicious. Downright odd. I’m going with something nefarious at this point. Time may tell.
Seeing those cars go across just seconds before the collapse and knowing they were spared is mind blowing. So sad for the construction workers. Prayers up
Reminds me of a similar bridge being hit and collapsing 22 years ago in Oklahoma on I-40.
The Dali was reportedly staffed from India, so perhaps Captain Bollywood rather than Hazelwood.
The Mumia Abu-Jabbar Bridge.
The Jussie Smollet Span.
The Michelle and Barack Obama Glorious Path.
The Bridge Over Maxine Waters.
The Anthony Fauci Assisted Suicide Center.
Unlike our military ships, this big ugly slow thing was not designed to be maneuverable.
As soon as it went a few degrees off course, it’s fate was sealed.
It was making a tight turn (for this ship) as it was..
A 2-lane rural road near me (in Virginia) was repaved from end to end less than 5 years ago. The pavement is now cracking and sinking in many places along the road. Putting new pavement on that road was like putting a fresh coat of paint on rotted wood.
If that’s how bad the interstate is, just imagine how bad the secondary 2-lane roads are. I don’t need to, I drive on them every day. The average Virginian will see crappy roads in Virginia and either think that’s fine or assume that other states are worse (because, apparently, they never leave the state).
it’s going to get worse not better :(
