Repressive States: No Right to Carry, Ban on Semi-Autos, No Suppressors, and High Taxes

Nine states show up again and again as the most repressive states in the union of the United States of America. With the occasional exception, these states refuse to honor the Constitution; they have extremely restrictive policies on who may bear arms, they ban common rifles, they ban the ownership of suppressors, and they tend to have high taxes. They are all controlled by the Democratic Party.

The nine most repressive states are California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.

Of those nine states, all but Rhode Island have enacted bans on some semi-automatic firearms, usually under the politically defined label of “assault rifles.”

Washington State has also banned certain semi-automatic rifles. Litigation challenging such bans as unconstitutional is moving forward in several states, including Maryland, New York, California, Illinois, and New Jersey. At some point, the Supreme Court will rule on one or more of these cases.Of those nine states, all but Rhode Island have enacted bans on some semi-automatic firearms, usually under the politically defined label of Of those nine states, all but Rhode Island have enacted bans on some semi-automatic firearms, usually under the politically defined label of “assault rifles.”

Of the nine repressive states, eight of them have laws that prevent most of the population from exercising their Second Amendment rights, especially the right to bear arms outside of the home.

The right-to-carry map shows the current state of the right to carry in the United States of America by state.

Nine states are particularly repressive of the right to keep and bear arms.

They are in defiance of the Supreme Court and refuse to treat the Second Amendment as a fundamental right in the Bill of Rights.

What I find disturbing is that you get these ones moving into Vermont from MA and NY and they demand gun control laws like their home state to be enacted there.

After thirty years in Hawaii, I finally got sick of it. We left in'07 and wandered around the Pacific for a few years, finally settling in Southeast Alaska.

Nobody gets it but we're loving our new home.

Overlay that map with states pushing for driver’s lcenses for illegals and voter registration. They line up almost exactly.

Not surprised California leads the pack - gas recently hit $5.00/gallon again and with fast food workers making $20/hour it is too expensive to take the family out to MacDonald’s.

Love my state. Hate its government.

As I posted earlier: “The Democrats plans all along were to destroy the Middle Class and then disarm the law abiding citizens in order to establish their long desired totalitarian government.”

I’m only glad my parents and grandparents aren’t here to see what has happened to our once-beloved state.

Until Governor Creosote rammed his unconstitutional ban through Illinois was actually fairly gun friendly. The President of our gun club is very active in the litigation against them.

.....okay, so I am a bit slow this morning; only had one cup of coffee....so how does all this comport with just took place a few days ago...illegal aliens have a right to own and carry guns, but native law-abiding, constitution-respecting Americans have no such rights in these 9 States...note that this case comes from Illinois.....I just don’t get it...

..”A federal judge this month dropped gun charges against an illegal migrant in Illinois, sparking further debate about the rights associated with the Second Amendment.

U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Coleman of the Northern District of Illinois referenced lower court rulings in dismissing firearm possession charges against Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, who was illegally or unlawfully in the United States when he possessed a handgun in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago on June 1, 2020.

“The Court finds that Carbajal-Flores’ criminal record, containing no improper use of a weapon, as well as the non-violent circumstances of his arrest do not support a finding that he poses a risk to public safety such that he cannot be trusted to use a weapon responsibly and should be deprived of his Second Amendment right to bear arms in self-defense,” Coleman, who was appointed under President Barack Obama, wrote in her eight-page ruling filed March 8.

Carbajal-Flores was charged under Title 18 of U.S. Criminal Code, which legally disallows undocumented individuals to possess firearms and ammunition “or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.”

Hopefully, SCOTUS will put an end to Pritzker’s doucheness. Once that’s done, if we can get open carry and eliminate some of the chicken shit off limits places, we’d be better than Arizona.

But I must say, the State Police web site where you have to renew FOID/CCL paper work, is really slick now. It wasn’t always that way!
