Here are 10 key reasons experts say U.S. support for Ukraine should be continued:

1. Putin's aggression must be stopped.
2. Putin's atrocities need a response.
3. Russia is targeting evangelical Christians for persecution.
4. Ukraine wants only to regain its sovereign territory.
5. Russia has not "won" the war.
6. Russia is rearming for a larger war.
7. Most Ukraine aid goes to U.S. contractors.
8. Europe fears a coming attack on NATO.
9. Support for Ukraine signals to China: Do not invade Taiwan.
10. Give Ukraine aid to let Trump bring peace.

Stepping back from my sarcasm.

When posting "FR thread—— Biden Admits Massively Undercounting Ukraine Aid", please post the thread link, even if cut and pasting without HTML. It allows people to find the thread more readily.

When posting the title, posting the correct title and all words helps finding it. The thread is "The Biden Administration Just Admitted It Has Massively Undercounted Ukraine Aid"

There are two issues there, congressional and executive authority to send aid to Ukraine. Both have independent authority, Congress through appropriations and Biden through legislated drawdown and replacement of inventory sent to Ukraine.

Congress has the authority over its appropriations. Over eight months, drawdown and replacement will increase over time.

Not that this has anything to do with this thread.

#1 BAD reason to send aid to Ukraine is....

We are broke, with national debt much bigger than GDP.

>>>>Domestically, congressional Republicans have to worry about what the public will think of them if Ukraine falls<<<<

ATTENTION WIDGIE!: “Polls have shown that support for Ukraine is slipping among the broader electorate, particularly Republicans. A November Gallup poll shows that 62% of Republican voters now believe the US is doing too much to help Ukraine. In June, the figure stood at 50%.”

The majority of Americans don’t give a crap about Ukraine, Widgie. We’ve got bigger fish to fry.

There is nothing inconsistent here.
Russia is increasing its military infrastructure but this hasn’t yet given a sufficient edge to bring them victory.
Europe is also investing in its military infrastructure BTW. It’s going to end up as an arms race.

Several bottlenecks, chokepoints, and roadblocks in the way of helping anybody:

Democrat [federally funded] spending on mass illegal "immigration" driving up costs, plus adding millions of non-citizens to U.S. un-employment rolls

National Debt Crisis - heading toward failure to pay the interest on the debt: Interest rates will increase in order to make U.S. Treasury notes and bonds appealing to purchasers

Democrat ["federal"] Regulations - blocking and burdening productivity

Poor quality of leadership in production; example: BOEING

Democrats utterly unwilling to reverse their communist-socialist decisions to destroy individual liberty and limited government

Examples of maintenance and production failures:

H/T Gaffer

Re M777 UFH towed field howitzer, the US had to get BAE to restart production of them so it could replace what it gave UKR from its on-line inventory and to provide more for the future.
