The coup in Iran was justified. Mosaddegh was no Jeffersonian democrat and he had ties to the Tudeh Party (Communists). We were vying against the Soviets and who controlled Iranian oil.

I was in Tehran (1977-79) during the fall of the Shah and the hijacking of the Iranian Revolution by Khomeini. Carter was a disaster and we are living with the consequences to this very day.
