A 16-year-old student at Central Davidson High School in Lexington, North Carolina, has been suspended after he used the term “illegal alien” during a vocabulary assignment in his English class.
Christian McGhee was assigned vocabulary words during class, which included the word “alien.”
McGhee inquired about the word, asking “Like space aliens or illegal aliens without green cards?”

Does this mean that “illegal alien” can only refer to an undocumented Martian?

I Married an Illegal Alien many many years ago and then went through the process to get her a Green Card, the old fashioned way, LEGALLY. And YES we are still married.
Meanwhile another school district in NC is thinking about suspending a student for beating a teacher in the classroom in front of the class.
