Why?

Because if our elected reps are always 'new' by the time they figure out the horrors of the deep state and Washington's entrenched bureaucrats, they'll be back home out of a job and out of power to fight back.

Then the process of 'learning the ropes' starts over for the newly elecged reps and the entrenched old power 'elites' - - who will dig in deeper. That would make things worse - not better.

Then again, if you're talking 24 year term limits, I'm with you. And if you throw in mandatory retirement at 75 I'm jumping up and down thrilled. .
