Appearing on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ with host Dana Bash, Gonzales discussed the recent passage of the multi-billion foreign aid package and the possibility that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson may be removed from office.
Rather than taking a diplomatic tone in favor of party unity, the Texas Congressman unloaded on Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Bob Good (R-VI), making various spurious allegations about their political and private lives.
Here is a transcript of the exchange:
BASH: So, you voted yes on the foreign aid package. Do you have confidence that at this point, given that it is still possible that Marjorie Taylor Greene will push to vacate, to kick out of the Speaker’s chair, that he can survive?
GONZALES: He will survive. Look, the House is a rough and rowdy place, but Mike Johnson is gonna be just fine. I served 20 years in the military. It’s my absolute honor to be in Congress, but I serve with some real scumbags. Matt Gaetz, he paid minors to have sex with him at drug parties. Bob Good endorsed my opponent, a known neo-Nazi.
These people used to walk around with white hoods at night. Now they’re walking around with white hoods in the daytime. Look, it didn’t surprise me that some of these folks voted against aid to Israel, but I was encouraged to see by a nearly 10-to-1 mark that Republicans supported our allies on the battlefield.
As you can see from the final exchange, even Bash was shocked by Gonzales’s remarks.

On Monday, news broke that Speaker Mike Johnson will head to San Antonio on Tuesday to fundraise for Tony Gonzales after his disgusting rant on CNN.

A United States Representative REPRESENTS the people in his district.
He doesn’t take orders from Democrat politicians.

What is Gonzales's evidence that his opponent is a neonazi, and that is widely known? Or is his opponent just a white guy? Just curious since his claims about Gaetz seem to be regurgitated false accusations by people who have very shady backgrounds and an affinity for Iran?

Johnson is going to Texas to discuss the border. If he’s also doing fundraising is it just for Gonzales, or for Texas House Republicans in general?

The people.. Citizens.. My, how they have changed in my __ years.
TV came into our homes.. Ozzie and Harriet.. Amos and Andy.. I Love Lucy.. You couldn’t find a mean bone or a cross word.
No computers in homes yet.. We went to church. We has reunions. One car. A bike. Had supper around the table. Mcdonalds had not been invented yet. When we traveled, roads were 1 and 2 lanes in each direction.
Today, it’s tough to grow up clean.. So much out there. We had 3 tv networks. I just got a new 55 in TV.. A month ago. I still am finding more on it than I could watch in a year. No cell phones.
What has gone wrong? We are not better off today. God has been put on the back burner.. Too many kids grow into teenage without being taught there are limits.. Be polite.. Help others.
My grandsons are in sports, where parents forget they are supposed to set the example.
My opinion, but preachers came on TV and some took addvantage of an audience.. And viewers were not impressed. For whatever reason., families did other things and skipped church.
Now today. It’s full blown anti. And in it’s place is just too much trouble brewing.. Kids out running around when it’s bedtime.
Then our government became openly corrupt.. Maybe it’s always been.. I don’t think so, as it is lately.
God made this universe.. Man is not capable of doing what they are trying to do today.. Man is messing it up big time.. Love and respect are gone for the masses.. God is the answer, remove Him and the void will be filled..
