If true, Colonel Earl Matthews and all the rest of those SOBs need to face a firing squad.
Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, and then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy should be indicted, tried, convicted, and then sentenced to be publicly hanged for giving aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States. And their carcasses should be left to rot off the noose.
A military officer should disobey an order that he finds outrageously immoral or illegal. But then that officer must immediately resign. After which speak out as a private citizen.
To disobey an order and just sit in your office is dishonorable. No, it’s more than just that. It’s dishonorable and repugnant.

What if the leaders of China and/or Russia had known that? Would they have launched a “counterforce” nuclear strike upon such a once in a millennium opportunity? “Blue” cities in “blue” states have a lot more to lose in a nuclear war than “red” ones...

The fellow who wrote this should know better than to write that anyone could take away a presidents CIC powers other than through impeachment and removal from office.
