Hawass is a showman.

I still remember a show he did a couple of years ago about a hidden chamber in the Great Pyramid (Cheops?) at Giza.

Sent a robot in w/ a camera and found a bricked up wall.

Never did hear what was behind that wall. Must've been nothing, cuz if there was anything, he would have made hay out of it.

I have always found Hawass and Dr. Bob Brier to be very entertaining, however, I want independent confirmation on just about everything that they say. Brier was very big on the Tut murder theory a few years ago. :0)
