PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Casey Hampton rattled off several expletives Thursday while complaining Atlanta guard Tyson Clabo intentionally tried to hurt him with a block to the back of his legs.

"I can't tell you what I told him but it was all dirty, man," Hampton said. "That's like you have no respect for the game. You're just out there trying to hurt somebody and I'm out there trying to make a living. I was real, real mad and I let him know I was real mad, too."

Maybe the NFL can make sure pittsburgh never plays Atlanta again....they play too rough.

You can play rough without playing dirty.

The Steelers complain about "rough" or "dirty" play?

Cowher's spitting/slobbering in-your-face motivational talks to his defense, and their intent to inflict pain is known throughout the league.

They sound like Democrats: do as we say, but not to us.....

RE: "Dirty Bird"

The movie "Misery" comes to mind.

"Oh, Ben, you threw that touchdown pass just for me? How sweet of you, but we won't be playing football for a while now, will we?"

Denver and Atlanta are known for cut-blocking on the line.

I don't really like either team. I'm an Eagles fan so you can see I have my own problems...

You equate "rough" with "dirty?"

They sound like Democrats: do as we say, but not to us.....

Gee, and here I always thought our side played by the rules. Go figure?

From the article: The Falcons are well known around the NFL for blocking below the knees, a technique that forces a defensive player to drop his hands and effectively cuts his feet out from beneath him.

And the only penalty given out during that game for chop blocking was to .... Atlanta! They're famous for it.

With this victory, Atlanta has brought their all time record against the Steelers to 2-11-1. Obviously Atlanta has the 2. :)

The next time they play, in 2010 barring a playoff meeting, it's going to be ugly.

If it's the same cast of characters, it should be ugly.

Like Roethlisberger, Hampton said he will remember the incident. However, the AFC-NFC scheduling format prevents another Steelers-Falcons game until 2010, unless it occurs during the playoffs.

AP sports writers stink, one team is AFC the other is NFC they won't meet unless its in the Super Bowl.

Let the Steelers play flag football, then.

The pre-season poll of players to determine the list of "dirtiest players" has Joey Porter of the sissypants whiners at No.2:

"New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison tops Sports Illustrated's list of dirtiest players in the NFL, ESPN reported Thursday.

Of the 361 NFL players polled during the preseason, 23 percent of them pointed to Harrison, according to ESPN. Second on the list were Joey Porter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jon Runyan of the Philadelphia Eagles"

"Atlanta has brought their all time record against the Steelers to 2-11-1">

What's the Steelers record in 2006 (hint 2-4)?

What's the Falcons record in 2006? (hint 4-2)

You're livin' past history....

Can I get a WAAAAAAAAAAA with that brothers and sisters?

I challenge you to find a play where Porter "played" dirty, as opposed to where he smack talks the rest of the league. We know why they voted him #2. Because he's verbally abusive and he's the reigning champ.

If Big Baby Ben is even around in 2010...

Can you say, "Crash & Burn"? I knew you could.

Live in the past, then, as you're gonna be sittin' at home through the playoffs, with your Thereza Heinz-Kerry Stadium seat piled with snow....
