Same boat here. I had a couple of friends who got to go, and was corroded with jealousy about the whole thing. This exhibition doesn't appear to be as much of a socks-knocker-offer as the 1970s version though.

Whoops. This Amarna exhibition is not the same travelling one that is/was at the Field Museum in Chicago. This is something put together independently, and it definitely looks like a winner.
