Nest: the place in which the eggs of animals, as insects, turtles, etc., are laid and hatched; a snug place in which young animals are reared.

a creche suggests the young are juveniles of various ages and parents. Nest however indicates siblings.

therefor (IMO) the article attributes behaviour that has not been substantiated.
