Prior to the launch, NASA’s website allowed you to enter your name, which would then be entered as data, electronically, into some memory on a chip somewhere in the satellite...
Me and the kids all entered our names, printed off a certificate, and VIOLA, our names got sent to the comet.

...I hope it didn't’t p*ss off some alien who might own a vacation getaway, or some property on it...
