Uhhhhhhh.
I've read the physics books, too.... I used to tutor in Physics. (several decades ago). What we have are theories of what powers the sun. One of the serious problems of a Fusion powered sun is where are the Neutrinos? To account for the lack of a sufficient number of neutrinos the latest tweak of the theory is that two thirds of them change into something else before they reach very far... like to the Earth. Why is the solar surface FAR cooler than the solar atmosphere? Why do we see what to all extents and purposes objects on the sun that are identical to birkeland currents we see in plasma laboratories here on Earth... electrical currents of separated charges in plasma sheaths. The one great failure of modern cosmology is in its ability to PREDICT what we will find... while the electrical theorists have made prediction after prediction that have been found to be correct. The proof of a theory is in its ability to make predictions based on that theory... if you can't you throw it out and start over.
