My Daughter has come down with stomach ulcers, H. Pylori, my son has also come down with problem, a mite earlier.

This has been the bane Of The Little Bill Clan for at least the past 150 years, killed my Old Man.

I would some info, I haven't had an acid stomach since I gave up Jack 35 years ago, is the evil Mendal at work?

I am in wonderment about this, the kids are in their Mid Thirties and all of a sudden this popped up. Knew exactly what the problem was as soon as they mentioned it.

Bill, no coffee, no cokes or any other caffeine drinks. No tomato juice or V-8 juice.

Australians win Nobel for gastritis discovery

"Thanks to the pioneering discovery by Marshall and Warren, peptic ulcer disease is no longer a chronic, frequently disabling condition but a disease that can be cured by a short regimen of antibiotics and acid secretion inhibitors," said the Nobel Assembly of Stockholm's Karolinska Institute.

It is now known that acid doesn’t cause ulcers, but bacteria. Google “stomach ulcers” and read up. After you get to the doctor.

Stomach ulcers can be caused by a bacteria or a virus, I can’t remember which. But there is a medication that will illiminate it ask your doctor. They test for it by taking a breath sample.

An in-depth report on the causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of stomach and GI ulcers.

http://www.umm.edu/patiented/articles/what_guidelines_treating_peptic_ulcers_caused_by_h_pylori_000019_7.htm

“Antibiotics are clearly indicated for patients who have both ulcers and H. pylori infection. In spite of such clear indications, however, European and American studies continue to suggest that many doctors are still only treating symptoms and not curing the ulcers themselves. (Studies also suggest that most doctors are not counseling patients properly on the potential dangers of NSAIDs and other drugs that can cause ulcers.)”

Hi, Little Bill.

Check this out:

I recall the English were treating ulcers with antibiotics, and the US said they were nuts, but apparently we’ve come around!

Good luck with this!

Either her primary care doctor would be able to provide competent treatment or perhaps a visit to a Gastroenterologist is in order.

Many things that are claimed as hereditary are really in fact DIET factors that have been passed down from generation to generation.

What foods do you guys eat? Do you suck down a lot of aspirin? Do you guys build up stress or react to stressful situations like cats?

Have her tested for H.pylori. It’s a bacterium that causes ulcers.
