For those of us only tangentially familiar with this stuff, can someone explain how long ago this event happened in that it is located 90 million light years away. I take it it didn’t happen as they were watching, right?
Nope. It happened 90 million years ago. We get to see it 90 million years later because we are 90 million light years away.
