Rain in Philly could alter World Series schedule

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP)—Rain in Philadelphia’s forecast this weekend could alter the World Series schedule—and pitching plans for both teams.

Game 3 between the Tampa Bay Rays and Phillies is slated for Saturday night at Citizens Bank Park, but there is a 70 percent chance of rain in Philadelphia that day, according to weather.com.

Baseball spokesman Pat Courtney said if the game is postponed, it would be pushed back to Sunday and the teams would lose a scheduled off day Tuesday between Games 5 and 6, if they’re necessary. Game 4 would be slated for Monday and Game 5 for Tuesday.

Sat down with a beer, a sandwich and chips and quickly fell asleep. Just waking up. Now I know you've done similar.

Saw all of the game yesterday. Will stay awake for the rest of this one.

I'm rooting for the Rays today because I like the sun. Hey, it's a reason. And, I like to hear Philly fans around here cry.

Rollins, 0 for 11. Amazing. One of the best hitters in the game. Some day their gonna have a pill for that. Batting disfunction.

No problem, time to break out the cliches. It’s now a 5 game series, next 3 in cold, wet CBP. I’ll be at all 3 games, which means I get relief from, Buck, McCarver, and Obama’s lying commercials. Hopefully we can at least reach game 6, Obama’s infomercial may piss off a few political fence-sitters.

I had a Red Sox fan tell me that the Rays fans, such as there are, are pretty much all transplanted NYers, is that true?

Heck no...we have plenty of NY fans in Tampa Bay, and from what I’ve seen when the Rays play NY, there are as many if not more NY fans in the stands than Rays fans.

Now, in the post season, you might be seeing a lot of NY fans who are now behind the Rays...but in the regular season, the die hard fan base from other cities that have been transplanted here still root for their team.
