They played Owner of a Lonely Heart. The lead singer for Yes is out because of respiratory issues.

Chris Squire saw this guy on Youtube from Montreal...he called the guy up and asked him to stand in as the lead singer for their current tour...pretty cool indeed.

That is very cool. I saw them in 1981 in Minneapolis, awsome show with a round stage.

I know... Jon Anderson has never quite recovered from the strains of the last tour, and as the most recent tour was about to begin, he went into respritory failure. If you check his web site, you'll see that his feelings are really badly hurt that they're doing the tour without him.

There was also hope that if Yes were to take a "leisurely tour," sort of taking it easy, that Rick Wakeman would be able to go out as well, but the band and management decided to do a tour as if they were still in their 20s and 30s! So Rick Wakeman had to bow out due to health concerns (he's had a serious heart condition for a number of years now), and his son is set to tour with Yes in his place.

I've had plans to see Yes 6 times now over the years, but have only managed to see them twice due to circumstances beyond my control - including the time the roof of Kemper Arena in KC caved in and Yes had to cancel back in the 1970s! But they're my all-time favorite band. I really wish that I could have seen them on their Union tour.

Mark
