When they mention ‘global warming’, I quit reading.

When I read that a single ‘scientist’ from Bristol, I got suspicious. It seems like it would be a herculean task to compare the data from samples over the entire continent.

Like you, when I reached the “global warming” part, I realized I was not reading about a scientist but a religious zealot who claims he knows the date of the coming, man-caused apocalypse.

Why?

Global warming thousand of years ago is obviously not “antropogenic”.

Global temperatures are not constant. There have been ice ages and hot ages.

What we do not know is...

If the earth is, overall, cooling or heating up. (ground based says heating up, atmospheric based says cooling down)

If heating is even a bad thing, as the Medieval warm period was good times and good wines all around.

To what (if any) extent human activity is accelerating or slowing this process of global warming or cooling.
