One of my favorite albums of all time, from one of my favorite musicians of all time. Have you heard Waits's cover of the Kinky Friedman's "Highway Cafe?" It's on the
Pearls in the Snow album. IMHO, it is one of the most heart-wrenching songs I've ever heard.
