Actually, I saw a recent and very good program on what caused the Dinosaur extinction. They didn't have an answer, but they showed how the science of sudden extinction from an asteroid had a lot of holes.

Probably the same one I saw. The asteroid may have finished them off but dinosaurs were on their way out long before the impact.
