Interesting. I’m suspecting some kind of current. I’ve got a book of Michigan mysteries that shows the mysterious ice circles on a lake near my home.
In the last few years, the Iron County Reporter, a weekly out of Iron River,MI, published a photo of an ice circle on the Paint River during the early Spring.
Do the circles look the same? I wonder if the second circle in the picture also has cracks.
