Farmers have missed the seeding season. It’s going to be a bad year for grain crops, just watch prices hit all time highs this fall as harvest estimates fall well below average.

We spent the summer of 07 in the Canadian Maritime Provences and Newfoundland. All the locals up there said there was no “summer”. A lot of cold and wet. Lots of bergs in Newfoundland and much later than usual.
The summer of 06 we got snow in Alberta coming south from Alaska on a record early snowfall. All of our three year tour of N. America we heard of colder than usual weather from local people.

Actually Summer doesn't start until about the 21 of June, but it is a lot cooler this year in Northern CA. It has been about 72 in the day time, sometimes hitting 80, but usually we would be having about 85 to 95 weather about now. It has rained several times over the last few weeks also. while this is not unheard of it has been quite a while since it rained this late in June and the temps at night are dropping down into the 50s. I am only at about 1000 foot elevation also, that means a large part of Northern CA is much cooler.

I’m sorry but summer starts 21 June. You may not have had a spring - but you can’t say you haven’t had a summer if it hasn’t started yet.

Summer starts June 21 and ends Sept 21. Summer is not even here yet! I take aquweather with a gain of salt, yea it's been a cool spring. One cool spring does not make a new Ice Age eminent, lol.

The Global Temperature trend has been flat/down since 1998ish. But remember the 90's were warm so we've just returning to a cooler "normal" not an Ice Age.

According to what I have read the flip switches quickly when going into an ice age. I haven't seen a rapid dramatic drop/rise in temperature. Could be this year's cooling is due to a less energetic Sun. Now maybe if the Sun remains less energetic for a few years or longer we might get a mini Ice Age. But what's the likelyhood of that?

Personally I may enjoying all the AWG crowd having to eat snow,lol.

Same here in Texas although for opposite reasons, (little rain and hot temps)
