Were there any dinosaurs in New Zealand before the great extinction? NZ is home to the tuatara, the only survivor of one of the four surviving orders of reptiles (it looks a bit like a lizard but isn't closely related to lizards).

The other 3 orders are (1) crocodiles and their relatives, (2) turtles, (3) snakes and lizards.

New Zealand Dinosaurs. There looks to be an Ankylosaur in the picture.

Yeah, the dinos were pretty much anywhere there was land at the time.
