I think Corgan is the guy w/hair on the right. Homer was traveling with the group as the warm-up act who was "shot" with a cannon ball in his stomach.

SP: "Hi Homer, we're the Smashing Pumpkins."

Homer: "and I'm Smiling Politely."

Billy Corgan with hair? Or maybe this was an early episode from back before Corgan shaved it off. Either way, having Homer be the opening act for the Smashing Pumpkins is pretty funny.
