What will be gained by the conclusions of this study?? In addition to the previous comment, one thing that has been gained in these types of studies is how we can utilize the genome such as using lab animals to grow replacement organs. If you understand the genetic differences, you can compensate for them. For example, what is the genetic difference between a human and a mouse, how can we turn on and off various receptors and genes to where the mouse can grow this:
