This idea came from Hilo! Never tested but thought state of the art tsunami survival solution. The hotels and shore side buildings are on stilts, allowing parking below for visitors and residents and safety from the waves that hit. It could even be a Kodak moment! Simply brilliant!

Except for loss of electricity, the vehicles parked below would be washed away creating a debris field a half mile inshore making rescue and emergency services impossible. Forget about newspaper delivery for the headline story informing you about the extent of the damage over your morning coffee.

Siren means Split...fast.
