Captain Kirk shot the Lizard Man with a cannon he mad and a diamond chunk as the cannon ball.....the Lizard Man was knocked down - but Kirk spared his life......I make my wife watch that episode with me sometimes....she rolls her eyes.
I know that episode. I think Kirk made a comment, before he figured out he could make a primative cannon, about how he would trade all those diamonds for some weapon.
He wasn’t a “Lizard Man”, he was a Gorn. It’s it’s a damn good thing Kirk didn’t kill him out because the Metrons would have taken out the Enterprise.
Well, she can count herself lucky, because I swear one of my old friends made his newlywed wife dress up like the green chick and dance for him dressed as Capt. Kirk.
By the way, the lizard man was supposed to be Capt. Kirk’s equal in the lizard world.
But I preferred the rock monster.
On the first of many planet stops (Preplanus), Dr. Smith put extra blasting charges in the hole Major West was drilling to shake the diamonds loose from the walls in a nearby cave. It didn’t work out so well.
