From a climate history perspective, we are currently at the end of the Holocene and could therefore expect to see a cooling-down in a few thousand years if there had been no human influence on the atmosphere and the resulting global warming.

Boy, they never give up, do they? As if what puny amounts of carbon dioxide we're throwing up into the atmosphere could defeat a climate mechanism that triggers ice sheets to cover half of the Earth's surface.

A layman's guess likens this to throwing a pot of hot water on a glacier and screaming the resulting melt will kill us all with higher water levels.

Right. But just suppose, for sake of argument, that man-made CO2 DID delay the onset of the next ice-age by a few decades or centuries.

In what possible sense is that a BAD thing?
