Still yankees though. that's DAMN Yankee to you!
Ever had a Maine Lobster fresh outta the water? - well, cooked, but fresh caught - with a mess of steamers and mussels and corn on the cob -- cooked in seaweed?

It is a glimpse into the self-similar singularity that is the omniversal holographic reality show.

You are making me hungry. I think God gave you all those daggone good lobsters to keep you up there. That’s so we “ridgerunners” can keep picking our apples right off the tree, still warm from the sun and sweet, juicy and crispy beyond anything, then we wipe it on our shirt and crunch down. There is no better food on earth, except fried chicken.

Every 4th of July when I was a kid in up state NY. That and fresh clams on the half shell and steamed clams, chicken and lots and lots of beer.
Grilled shad whenever they were biting too.

r apples right off the tree, still warm from the sun and sweet, juicy and crispy beyond anything But do you have Macintosh? Or McCouns? Nothing crisper or juicier. I almost OD'd on them my first fall back home t'Maine after 10 years in California...and the sweet COLD well water.

lobsters in upstate NY???
no no. Not fresh...gotta come and eat ‘em right out over the water - looking off at the islands...
To: maine-iac7
Picked 'em up on Fulton St. Alive a live O.
By my reckoning that's fresh.

If I'd spent 10 years in California (which, being from Virginia, that would never happen) I would think Maine apples are something special too. That is, if I weren't from Virginia.
Still, the Maine apples would do, I guess. Though I don't think I could recover from the California thing without my real peanuts. Oh, and the ham, thank Almighty God for our Virginia ham. Have you ever had a turkey that was living in the wild the day you ate it? Man, that's what we call Thanksgiving.

Nothin’ here. Geomagnetic storms only come in November ... leastwise in these parts.

"Yankees... Yall crack me up with your northern lights and stuff. Small compensation for living up there in that cold north country, if you ask me. Well, enjoy it. Somebodys gotta live up there. Might as well be yankees."
It's nice not having many people up here in the Northwest. Solar max should be here in only about a year and a half or so. I look forward to the years after that. May all of the more fragile, sedentary folks move back toward the coasts then. ;-)

I’m a Savannah, Ga native, and am now really hungry. I can’t prove it but I’m satisfied that Savannah has the best seafood on earth. I’ve been all over the world eating what people called the best “seafood”, and ladies and gentlemen it just doesn’t measure up. We obviously have to import our lobsters, but the shrimp from the barrier island sounds, the local blue crab and the oysters in the fall are so good it’ll make you want to slap your momma. We also do fried chicken exceptionally well, and have an unbelievably high rate of coronary artery disease.
Did I mention the flounder! Holy Cows!

Ping me if you read or learn of any effects of this GME “storm” today.
Thanks for the posts.
