Yankees... Y’all crack me up with your “northern lights” and stuff. Small compensation for living up there in that cold north country, if you ask me. Well, enjoy it. Somebody’s gotta live up there. Might as well be yankees.

Just dang it - I missed it.
One night, about 7-8 years ago, (here in maine) the sky turned red from the north and spread up and over the entire ‘dome’ of the sky. It was phenomenal - eerie. Front page photos next day. Never saw anything like it.
Bring on those sun spots! Warmer summer!

Funny... But the Blue Ridge Mountains aren’t home to what you call “flatlanders”. They called us Ridge Runners when I was growing up (and hick, hillbilly, redneck, etc.).

Go easy now. I was born in Pa., but have lived in Ga. since 1978. We are all conservatives!

I truly appreciate all the good yankee conservatives. They may be yankees, but at least they’ve got some sense. Still yankees though.

LOL
“Ridge Runner” is one of my nicknames - I grew up on a ‘Ridge Road’ - live on one now too...and I love to meander...
