From Panic Watch:

Hydrate Hypothesis

*******************************EXCERPT*********************************

Posted January 16, 2008 by

The insanity that surrounds the "hydrate hypothesis" is too much to take in:
Runaway Global Warming promises to literally burn-up agricultural areas into dust worldwide by 2012, causing global famine, anarchy, diseases, and war on a global scale as military powers including the U.S., Russia, and China, fight for control of the Earth's remaining resources.

This circles around the idea that methane, which is 20 times stronger than CO2, is trapped in permafrost and will seep into the atmosphere as more permafrost melts; thus causing the earth to heat up significantly faster. To add to the notion that this is "scientific", throughout the article there are a slew of stats and big numbers--even if these numbers don't add up according to climatologists.
But the scariest is yet to come.
Over 4.5 billion people could die from Global Warming related causes by 2012, as planet Earth accelerates into a greed-driven horrific catastrophe.
That's an astounding 67% of the Earth's population wiped out in the next four years. And if that sentence right there does not shake you to your core, then you're stronger than me!

Let’s assume for a minute, for the sake of argument (and amusement), that this hydrate hypothesis is accurate. What would be the point of trying to do anything about it? Or doing anything at all except preparing for our imminent collective demise? If true their is no point in trying to solve any of our problems other than how we, individually, meet our makers. Why bother even writing about, much less studying, the hydrate hypothesis? In two years it will all be over. lol
