There are very specific remnants showing Man to reach back to millions of years.

And, assuming you don’t understand TToE, there are artifacts of modern man that date to 8,000 years ago.

Except present day human mitrochrondial DNA traces back 150,000 years and that's not considering that most of the human population was wiped out 74,000 years ago when Mt. Toba decided to become a supervolcano...
