I quite enjoyed most of "Kicking the Sacred Cow", which I found by chance when it first came out, and have fond memories of it because mostly I read it on the beach. As a matter of fact, my online time has taken over from my beach time in the summers, mainly due to the price of gas, auto fuel economy, and 80 mile round trip to Grand Haven.
I'll vote for anyone who cuts my transportation costs through drilling, biofuels, and conservation mandates.
There, I've stirred up enough trouble.
Hogan's website formerly was a cornucopia (well, a small one) of interesting essays and discussions of Velikovsky, Darwin, and a load of other stuff.
Sometime in the current year I visited for the first time in some years, and found the site polluted with Holocaust denial and 9/11 "truthism". How anyone could turn into such an asshat is beyond me.

“Code of the Lifemaker”, “Bug Park”, “Giants” series, all books I enjoyed, and my teenage sons (at the time) enjoyed them as well... He streched your imagination in a classic scifi way.
RIP - God Bless

The Inherit the Stars books were among the first science fiction novels I read, recommended by a high school English teacher who actually liked science fiction. Great stuff. RIP
